Kick off the new table tennis season with us!
Académie Ping ÉVOLUTION is excited to welcome players of all ages and levels to our Back to School Tournament, our first tournament of the new season.
Whether you are entering your first competition or looking for a serious competitive challenge, our goal is to create a tournament that is organized, exciting, competitive and welcoming for everyone.
Come compete, meet new players, challenge yourself and enjoy a full day of table tennis with the Ping ÉVOLUTION community.
TOURNAMENT CATEGORIES
Players may register according to their most current TTCAN rating.
U300 (fully booked)
For developing and newer competitive players with a TTCAN rating under 300.
A great opportunity to experience tournament competition in a welcoming environment while playing against opponents of a similar level.
U550 (fully booked)
For players with a current TTCAN rating under 550.
Designed for developing competitors looking for competitive matches and tournament experience.
U1000 (fully booked)
For players with a current TTCAN rating under 1000.
A competitive category for intermediate players ready to test their skills against a strong field.
U1800 (fully booked)
For players with a current TTCAN rating under 1800.
A higher-level competitive event for experienced tournament players.
OPEN EVENT (fully booked)
No rating restriction.
The Open Event welcomes players of all levels who want to compete in our premier event of the tournament.
The event features a group stage followed by elimination rounds, with players divided into competitive divisions according to their group-stage results.
Maximum capacity: 32 players.
MORNING EVENTS – COMPETITION FORMAT
The U300, U550, U1000 and U1800 events will begin with a round-robin group stage.
Round-Robin Stage
Players compete within their assigned group to determine their placement for the elimination stage.
Elimination Stage
Every player advances to the elimination stage.
Players will be paired according to their results from the group stage, helping create balanced and competitive matches throughout the tournament.
The objective is to give every participant multiple meaningful matches and a complete tournament experience.
OPEN EVENT – COMPETITION FORMAT
The Open Event begins with a group stage followed by an elimination phase.
After the group stage, players are placed into divisions according to their results.
This format allows players to continue competing against opponents of a comparable level while still rewarding strong performances during the preliminary stage.
Division A
The top-performing players from the group stage advance to Division A.
Division B
The remaining qualifying players compete in Division B.
Both divisions will have their own elimination bracket and prize structure.
CASH PRIZES – OPEN EVENT
Cash prizes are based on a full Open Event registration.
DIVISION A
1st Place — $500
2nd Place — $225
3rd Place — $125
DIVISION B
1st Place — $200
2nd Place — $100
3rd Place — $50
Prize amounts may be adjusted according to the final number of registered participants.
REGISTRATION
Tournament capacity is limited, and some categories may sell out before the registration deadline.

Players are encouraged to register early to secure their place.
Please make sure that the rating entered during registration reflects your most current TTCAN rating.
A valid membership and competitive player license are required.
The tournament committee reserves the right to verify ratings and move a player to the appropriate category when necessary.
REGISTERING FOR TWO EVENTS
Players wishing to participate in two eligible events can take advantage of our tournament bundle pricing.
The discount is applied automatically after registering for two events.
When completing your booking:
- Select your first tournament category.
- Continue with your booking.
- Add a second attendee using the same participant name for your second category.
- You do not need to enter another email address for the second attendee.
- Select the second tournament event.
- The applicable bundle discount will be calculated automatically.
Players already registered in a U300 or U550 category who would like to add the Open Event may contact us by email.
WAITING LIST
If the category you would like to enter is sold out, please join our tournament waiting list.
Places may become available due to cancellations or adjustments to the tournament schedule.
Players on the waiting list will be contacted if a spot becomes available.

PLAYER IDENTIFICATION & RATING
During registration, participants will be asked to provide:
- Full player name
- Provincial table tennis federation
- Most current TTCAN rating
Please provide accurate information so that tournament categories, groups and seedings can be prepared fairly.
The tournament committee may verify player ratings before the event.

The tournament will take place in the gymnasium.
Please enter through the main entrance at the top of the stairs, then follow the corridor toward the gym.
Additional arrival and venue instructions may be sent to registered players before the tournament.
WHAT TO BRING
Players should arrive prepared with:
- Indoor non-marking athletic shoes
- Table tennis racket
- Water bottle
- Appropriate sports clothing
- Any personal equipment required for competition
Players should arrive early enough to check in and warm up before their scheduled category begins.
PLAYER CONDUCT
Académie Ping ÉVOLUTION is committed to maintaining a competitive, respectful and welcoming environment.
All players, coaches, parents and spectators are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect toward:
- Opponents
- Officials
- Volunteers
- Coaches
- Spectators
- Tournament organizers
- The facility and equipment
Violence, threats, harassment, abusive behaviour or serious unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
Tournament organizers reserve the right to remove any participant or spectator whose behaviour compromises the safety or enjoyment of the event.
Removal for misconduct may occur without refund.
SPECTATORS & COMMUNITY
Family members, friends and table tennis fans are welcome to come support the players and enjoy the tournament atmosphere.
Our goal is not only to organize a competitive event, but also to bring the table tennis community together and launch the new season with energy, sportsmanship and fun.
