Académie Ping ÉVOLUTION welcomes you to the ÉVO League: competitive, friendly team table tennis where players develop their game and support one another throughout the season.

Our updated ÉVO format brings together teams of three players for singles and doubles matches. It replaces the previously announced ÉVO and ÉVO+ divisions.

Our ÉVO Initiation U700 and U300 divisions remain unchanged, offering newer players a welcoming introduction to team competition.

LEAGUE DIVISIONS

The league offers three divisions: ÉVO LEAGUE, ÉVO Initiation U700 and ÉVO Initiation U300.

Please provide each player’s most current TTCAN rating when registering.

ÉVO LEAGUE

For teams looking for competitive matches, a friendly atmosphere and a strong team spirit.

Team composition: 3 players.
Combined rating: strictly under 4000, calculated using all three players’ ratings.
Minimum participation: 4 teams.
Maximum capacity: 5 teams.
Season: each team plays every other team twice, followed by 2 championship days.
With 4 teams: 6 team encounters per team.
With 5 teams: 8 team encounters per team.
Season registration: $300 per team.
Expected start: between mid-October and the end of October 2026, depending on the schedule agreed upon with participating teams.

Every team will be consulted to find the most suitable schedule for everyone.

ÉVO INITIATION U700

For beginner and developing competitors looking to gain experience and confidence in team competition.

Maximum capacity: 4 teams.
Season: 6 league days and 2 championship day.
Opening day: January 3, 2027.
Season registration: $150 per team.

ÉVO INITIATION U300

A welcoming introduction to team competition for newer players, with an emphasis on learning, enjoyment and sportsmanship.

Maximum capacity: 4 teams.
Season: 6 league days and 1 championship day.
Opening day: January 3, 2027.
Season registration: $100 per team.

TEAM COMPOSITION

ÉVO LEAGUE

Each team consists of three players. Registration is completed for the entire team, and all three players must be listed on the registration form.

All three players may participate in singles and doubles.

Teams are free to choose their singles lineup and doubles pairings. There is no captain-specific restriction on doubles participation.

The day’s lineup must be announced upon arrival, before letter selection. Match order must allow play on two tables without scheduling a player on both tables at the same time.

ÉVO INITIATION U700 AND U300

Each team consists of two players, with an optional third player.

Registration is completed for the entire team. All team members, including the optional third player, must be listed on the registration form.

The third player can serve as a substitute for an absent teammate.

When all three players participate on the same day, two players compete in singles. The designated third player may participate only in the doubles match, partnering with one of the singles players.

The day’s lineup, including the two singles players and the doubles pairing, must be announced upon arrival, before letter selection.

LEAGUE MATCH FORMAT

ÉVO LEAGUE

Each team encounter consists of ten matches played on two tables:

8 singles matches
2 doubles matches

Teams choose their lineups and doubles pairings. The number of singles and doubles played by each player depends on the selected lineup.

All matches are played best-of-five games: the first player or pair to win three games wins the match.

All ten matches are played, regardless of the running team score. Both doubles matches are always included. Ties are possible during the season. During championship, it is the first team to 6 points win

ÉVO INITIATION U700 AND U300

Each team encounter consists of five matches, played in this order:

Singles 1
Singles 2
Doubles
Singles 3
Singles 4

All matches are played best-of-five games.

All five matches are played, regardless of the running team score. The doubles match is always included.

SEASON AND CHAMPIONSHIPS

ÉVO

The season will begin between mid-October and the end of October 2026, depending on the agreed-upon schedule.

Every registered team will be consulted about its availability before the schedule is finalized.

Each team plays every other team twice during the season.

With four teams, each team plays six team encounters.
With five teams, each team plays eight team encounters.

The number of league dates will depend on the final number of teams and the agreed schedule. With five teams, some dates may include a bye for one team.

Two championship days follow the league schedule.

The confirmed calendar, standings system and championship procedures will be shared with registered teams.

ÉVO INITIATION U700 AND U300

Each division includes six league days followed by one championship day, beginning January 3, 2027.

League days take place on selected Sundays, approximately once per month. Please consult the published Initiation calendar, as some months include more than one league day and others include a break.

SUNDAY SCHEDULE

Warm-up begins: 9:00 a.m.
Matches start: 9:30 a.m.
General league session: 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Please arrive early enough to check in, announce your lineup and warm up before matches begin.

Any separate championship-day arrangements will be communicated to registered teams.

REGISTRATION

ÉVO

Registration closes Sunday night October 4th 2026.

The league requires a minimum of four teams and accepts a maximum of five teams.

Season registration is $300 per team of three players.

The combined rating of all three players must be strictly under 4000.

Following registration, each team will be consulted to establish the most suitable schedule. The season is expected to begin between mid-October and the end of October 2026.

ÉVO INITIATION U700 AND U300

Registration closes five days before the scheduled opening day.

Registration deadline: December 29, 2026.
Opening day: January 3, 2027.
Season registration: $100 per team.

Please ensure that every player’s name and current TTCAN rating are entered accurately.

The ÉVO League is a sanctioned two-star league. A valid federation membership and competitive player licence are required.

The organizers reserve the right to verify ratings and adjust team placement when necessary to maintain balanced divisions.

REGISTERING YOUR TEAM

Choose your division and complete the registration for your entire team.

Provide your team name, each player’s full name and current TTCAN rating, and a contact email address.

For ÉVO, register all three players.

For ÉVO Initiation U700 and U300, register your two players and your optional third player, even if the third player will attend only some league days.

The listed registration price is per team.

For roster changes after registration, contact the organizers.

WAITING LIST

If your preferred division is full, contact us to request a place on the waiting list.

Spaces may become available following cancellations or adjustments to the number of participating teams.

Teams on the waiting list will be contacted if a place becomes available.

PLAYER IDENTIFICATION AND RATING

Please provide the following information for every registered player:

Full player name
Provincial table tennis federation
Most current TTCAN rating

For ÉVO, the combined rating is the sum of all three players’ ratings and must be strictly under 4000.

Accurate information helps the organizers prepare fair matchups and verify eligibility.

If a player does not yet have a TTCAN rating, contact us before registering.

The league organizers reserve the right to verify ratings and adjust team placement when necessary.

TEMPORARY SUBSTITUTES

If a player is absent, sick or injured, someone from outside the registered team may replace them on up to two occasions per season. This limit applies to each registered player for a total of 6 substitute per team.

For ÉVO, the combined rating of the three players fielded for that encounter, including the substitute, must remain strictly under 4000.

For ÉVO Initiation U700 and U300, substitutes must respect the applicable division’s eligibility requirements.

If an injury forces a player to withdraw for the remainder of the season, the team may bring in a permanent replacement while respecting the applicable rating restrictions.

RESCHEDULING A TEAM ENCOUNTER

Each team may play one team encounter outside Ping Évolution per season, provided both teams agree to reschedule it.

Teams are responsible for any additional venue rental fees.

The encounter must take place at an eligible club, and a designated official or club representative must validate the results.

Eligible clubs and the rescheduling procedure will be communicated to participating teams.

WHAT TO BRING

Players should arrive prepared with:

Indoor non-marking athletic shoes
Table tennis racket
Water bottle
Appropriate sports clothing
Any personal equipment required for competition

Players should arrive early enough to check in, announce their lineup and warm up before matches begin.

PLAYER CONDUCT

League organizers reserve the right to remove any participant or spectator whose behaviour compromises the safety or enjoyment of the event.

Kick off the new table tennis season with us!

Académie Ping ÉVOLUTION is excited to welcome players of all ages and levels to our Back to School Tournament, our first tournament of the new season.

Whether you are entering your first competition or looking for a serious competitive challenge, our goal is to create a tournament that is organized, exciting, competitive and welcoming for everyone.

Come compete, meet new players, challenge yourself and enjoy a full day of table tennis with the Ping ÉVOLUTION community.

TOURNAMENT CATEGORIES

Players may register according to their most current TTCAN rating.

U300 (fully booked)

For developing and newer competitive players with a TTCAN rating under 300.

A great opportunity to experience tournament competition in a welcoming environment while playing against opponents of a similar level.

U550 (fully booked)

For players with a current TTCAN rating under 550.

Designed for developing competitors looking for competitive matches and tournament experience.

U1000 (fully booked)

For players with a current TTCAN rating under 1000.

A competitive category for intermediate players ready to test their skills against a strong field.

U1800 (fully booked)

For players with a current TTCAN rating under 1800.

A higher-level competitive event for experienced tournament players.

OPEN EVENT (fully booked)

No rating restriction.

The Open Event welcomes players of all levels who want to compete in our premier event of the tournament.

The event features a group stage followed by elimination rounds, with players divided into competitive divisions according to their group-stage results.

Maximum capacity: 32 players.

MORNING EVENTS – COMPETITION FORMAT

The U300, U550, U1000 and U1800 events will begin with a round-robin group stage.

Round-Robin Stage

Players compete within their assigned group to determine their placement for the elimination stage.

Elimination Stage

Every player advances to the elimination stage.

Players will be paired according to their results from the group stage, helping create balanced and competitive matches throughout the tournament.

The objective is to give every participant multiple meaningful matches and a complete tournament experience.

OPEN EVENT – COMPETITION FORMAT

The Open Event begins with a group stage followed by an elimination phase.

After the group stage, players are placed into divisions according to their results.

This format allows players to continue competing against opponents of a comparable level while still rewarding strong performances during the preliminary stage.

Division A

The top-performing players from the group stage advance to Division A.

Division B

The remaining qualifying players compete in Division B.

Both divisions will have their own elimination bracket and prize structure.

CASH PRIZES – OPEN EVENT

Cash prizes are based on a full Open Event registration.

DIVISION A

1st Place — $500
2nd Place — $225
3rd Place — $125

DIVISION B

1st Place — $200
2nd Place — $100
3rd Place — $50

Prize amounts may be adjusted according to the final number of registered participants.

A valid membership and competitive player license are required.

The tournament committee reserves the right to verify ratings and move a player to the appropriate category when necessary.

REGISTERING FOR TWO EVENTS

Players wishing to participate in two eligible events can take advantage of our tournament bundle pricing.

The discount is applied automatically after registering for two events.

When completing your booking:

Select your first tournament category.
Continue with your booking.
Add a second attendee using the same participant name for your second category.
You do not need to enter another email address for the second attendee.
Select the second tournament event.
The applicable bundle discount will be calculated automatically.

Players already registered in a U300 or U550 category who would like to add the Open Event may contact us by email.

WAITING LIST

If the category you would like to enter is sold out, please join our tournament waiting list.

Places may become available due to cancellations or adjustments to the tournament schedule.

Players on the waiting list will be contacted if a spot becomes available.
